SPLINT provides formulation aids for support goals so you don't have to start from scratch. The suggestions are automatically generated based on the completed observation forms of a student. As soon as you create a support goal from them, SPLINT makes suitable suggestions that you can adopt and individually adapt.
Creating support goals
- Open an observation in the student profile and click on "Create support goal".
- SPLINT suggests suitable goals that you can adopt or adapt.
- Add or change the initial situation if needed.
- Add support measures
- Click on "Add support measure".
- Select one or more measures – the selected ones appear in green and are automatically saved.
- Use the back arrow to return to the overview.
This way you can directly convert observations into concrete support goals and measures.
To use the formulation aids, you must first create a support plan. Then you can adopt suitable suggestions for support goals directly from the observation forms and adapt them individually.
You can find a detailed step-by-step guide in the SPLINT manual, starting on page 27 under the heading: 👉 "Using observation forms & formulation aids for support goals"
- Click on "Create support plan" in the student profile
- Enter the required data (e.g., designation, period, optionally a password)
- Click "Create support plan" again
- The support plan is automatically downloaded as a PDF file and can then be saved or printed
Yes, already created support goals can be edited at any time:

You can edit the support goal via the pencil symbol – e.g., add measures or perform an evaluation.
You change the status of a support goal via the evaluation function:
Log in at https://splint.schule
Go to Students in the menu and select the relevant person.
Scroll to the support goals in the profile and open the desired goal.
Click on "Evaluate goal".
Choose whether the support goal should remain active, has been achieved, or should no longer be pursued.
This way you can adjust the current status of your support goals at any time.
- Open the student profile of the child.
- Click on the round "Support plan" symbol.
- Enter the relevant data (e.g., designation, period) or use the default settings.
- Decide whether the file should be password protected.
- Click on "Create support plan".
The support plan will now be downloaded as a PDF file. You can open and print this with a program of your choice (e.g., Adobe Acrobat Reader).
Open the desired support goal in the student profile, click on the three dots at the top right and select "Delete support goal" – it will then be removed from the profile.
