If you want to interrupt filling out the sheet, you can simply leave it. As long as the observation sheet has not been completed and sent, it remains editable.
You can return to editing at any time by calling up the corresponding tile again and clicking on "Continue editing".
You can send us your feedback by clicking on the dark blue circle at the bottom right.
Click on "Give us feedback" and describe your idea. We are always happy to receive new impulses!
When sending to a colleague, you provide an email address. We will send a notification to them that an observation has been requested.
The observation form can be filled out directly in SPLINT after registration, or can be edited online via a link without registering.
If an unregistered person fills out an observation, they will not see the student's full name for data protection reasons.
Yes this is not a problem. All you need to send is an email address.
Unregistered people receive a link to the observation form and have the same functions there as in SPLINT. However, for data protection reasons, you do not see the student's full name.
In most cases, there are pre-formulated measures and information about the initial situation for each support goal that is selected based on an observation form.
This information is automatically entered on the support goal page and can be adjusted and supplemented by you.
Yes, that is possible.
Regardless of whether all questions have been answered or not, you can finish the form and submit it.
You can also select individual chapters and questions before sending and only send part of the observation form to be filled out.
No problem! When you select a form for a new observation, you'll find a small icon at the end of the line. Click on it, and you can deselect individual chapters or questions of the form to adjust the scope according to your needs.
When an observation is complete, the binoculars icon on the tile is displayed in green.
On observation tiles that are still being edited, the icon appears in white or blue.
We have developed our SPLINT sheets in close collaboration with experts, educators and teachers.
Other sheets are based on tried and tested teaching materials, including those from Auer and Persen publishers.
Standardized tests like SEVE complement our offer to support you in the best possible way.
To revise an observation form, the old one must be deleted and a new one created and sent again.
The measure library opens automatically when you have created a support goal.
First assign an observation form to yourself or colleagues and fill it out.
Then go to "Create support goal +". SPLINT suggests suitable items from the observation.
If you click on a question, you get a suggestion for a support goal and an initial situation (which you can adjust).
With "Support measure +" the measure library opens. There SPLINT suggests suitable measures from the catalog that you can adopt with one click.
If you have created a support goal yourself, you can also access the measure library by clicking on "Add support measures"/"Edit support measures" in the "Support goal" and clicking the blue button "Show me possible measures" below the input field.
You create an observation directly in the student profile:
- Click on "Request observation"
- Assign the form to yourself via "Assign to myself"
- Select an observation form
- After you have set the checkmark, the symbol with checkmark & lines appears – here you can preselect chapters and questions
- Scroll down and click "Send" to start the observation request
- The form now appears in the student profile and can be answered by you
- Complete the observation with "Send"
Unfortunately no. Currently, the special educational focus cannot be clearly recorded in the digital support plan in SPLINT.
Background: This is due to German educational federalism. The regulations differ from state to state:
In some states, the focus may be mentioned in the support plan,
in others it is not allowed at all,
and in still others it may only be listed in coded form.
So that SPLINT can be used everywhere in compliance with data protection and legal security, we have decided not to display this sensitive area as standard in the support plan.
The measure library opens as soon as you have created a support goal. Then click on "Support measure +", and SPLINT suggests suitable measures from the catalog that you can adopt with one click.
Yes, you can also add colleagues to an observation afterwards:
Go to Students in the menu.
Click on "+ Request observation".
Select the relevant student.
Enter the colleague's email address and send the observation request.
Once the observation is returned, you will find the results under "My observations" → "View results" – all observations are automatically merged there.
Yes! A digital ILE form (Individual Learning Development) is now available in SPLINT. This allows work and social behavior as well as learning status in the main subjects to be easily recorded, shared with colleagues, and documented in a uniform format.
